Psalm 2:2 - The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His anointed.
So I was reading this today in my daily devotional (thanks pastor Bob Coy of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale) and it also went to Psalm 2:4 (go read it!) which is talking about God "laughing". The way this was interpreted was that God is in control, and at the end of the day man's (our) will doesn't matter! Only God's will matters.
"So it only stands to reason that if we hope to be people of substance and significance and leave a legacy that stands the test of time, then we need to get in line with what please God."
Ooh this is so true, is it not? We want to be people of substance and significance, and we want to leave an impact on the people around us right? But in order to do that we need to start aligning ourselves up next to God, and to what He wants and to what He loves.
Ask yourself this question: What does this passage reveal to me about God?
Now answer it! I did: that God's in control even though people scheme against His will. (see the verse ^^) His will is going to come to pass, so I better be listening to it!
How does your answer differ from mine? Do you believe God is in complete control?
God bless, and blog soon
