(these
posts are simply taken from my notes written during the missions trip
I went on. Short & simple).

Corinthians 2:1-5
And
I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of
speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For
I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and
Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much
trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not
with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of
the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the
wisdom of men but in the power of God.
This
really spoke to me in these 3 concepts:
- We have to allow the Spirit to work through us, or we will be doing it on our own.
- We didn't come to New Jersey (or wherever you go) with persuasive words, we came to do a good work. Though we may not see the fruit, God will (vs 4)
- If you think you're at the top of your game, who can teach you anything?? Don't think of yourself too highly!!
Think
on it!
